I’ve no surety that it is. I know only the parts of what I feel; I may be misnaming the whole. You dwell in my mind like a household spirit. All that I think is followed with, “I shall tell that thought to Eddi.” Whatever I see or hear is colored by what I imagine what you will say of it. What is amusing is twice so, if you have laughed at it. There is a way you have of turning your head, quickly and with a little tilt, that seems more wonderful to me than all the practiced movements of dancers. All this, taken together, I’ve come to think of as love, but it may not be.It is not a comfortable feeling. But I find that, even so, I would wish the same feeling on you. The possibility that I suffer it alone—that frightens me more than all the host of the Unseelie Court.” — The Phouka, Emma Bull’s War for the Oaks (via theblastofatrumpet)

Storm rips out Calisto’s heart in a battle to the death for the life of her friends. Obviously it doesn’t go well for Calisto.
GOD I LOVE STORM SO MUCH YOU GUYS
Look at her picking up Angel like nothing. LOOK AT THAT DAMSEL IN DISTRESS. LOOK AT THE FUCKS SHE GIVES. NONE. NO FUCKS. MY GOD WOW.
Definitely, I like Storm like this.
This issue is easily in my top five best single issues list.
Trans man Varric though.
Trans man Varric understanding that with dwarves gender isn’t as important as it is for so many other races, but knowing he has to do it anyway.
Trans man Varric silently regretting being a dwarf because magic doesn’t work so well on them, and so any spells that might help would just fizzle away eventually if not immediately.
Trans man Varric having to deal with his ridiculous brother and all of his mother’s issues and still having to be a paragon of strength in the family after his dad dies, even on days when his dysphoria is rampant.
Trans man Varric being completely overjoyed when he starts growing hair on his chin and chest. (It’s not uncommon for dwarf women to have some hair here and there, it’s just not incredibly common either). It may not be a lot, but he wears what he has with pride.
Trans man Varric loving moving around because people who didn’t know him before can’t treat him as anything other than what he is.
Trans man Varric falling in love with Bianca and being so scared about coming out to her, and for a few minutes words are at a loss, even to the storyteller.
Trans man Varric knowing she’s the one when she doesn’t shun him, only embraces him and kisses him and accepts him fully.
Oliver : Just promise me, if trouble finds us, we don’t need to sit on our hands.
Chloe : … We certainly won’t run from a fight.
